We Have a Bedroom Now!!!

So....while the boys were all camping a couple weeks ago, this is what I did:


I made a headboard!

For the nine years we've been married, we have never had a bedroom set. Which is fine, because we've moved so much and it would have just been a pain. Well, our room now is pretty small, and we have a king sized bed and that takes up lots of room. One wall is all log, one wall is log with a huge window, one is mostly closet, and the other wall is painted cream. So, really we only have two walls to work with. I don't like the dresser on the log wall because it's the same color as the logs. And there's just too much wood when the bed is up against that wall. So, I made an upholstered headboard. I'm pretty happy with it. In a few years I might get bored and change the fabric, but for now it looks good, I think. I've wanted to make our room look like a room for a while now, I just wasn't sure how I wanted to do that....and....I wanted to be cheap. I also bought sheets and a quilt set on sale. We haven't had a quilt for a year or two, so we've been using a Christmas one. I got pretty sick of it. Anyway, Brady was surprised and really liked it. It's nice to now have a "room" to relax in.
