One Eventful Weekend

We had such a great weekend! Ashton was baptized on Saturday. It was such a special day and it was so fun to watch him take it all in. He's a smart little cookie. That morning, we talked a little about baptism and answered any questions he had. Then, I asked him why he decided to be baptized. His response made me tear up. "Cuz I want to be just like Jesus...."

Here's my handsome little guy. We are so blessed to have him in our family. He brings so much joy to our home, and he has such a sweet spirit. We love you, Ashton!

It was fun (as always) to be with the family. I love how much they all love our boys. I know that's normal...but it is such a good feeling. I'm so blessed to be part of such a great family. Thank you Jordan and Mel for those wonderful talks. You did such a great job making Ashton feel so special.

Saturday was also Brady's 30th birthday. I can't believe how old we're getting! Time goes by too fast. The boys and I made him this sign and hung it up for the whole neigborhood to see. I don't think Brady thought that was too cool.... =) And then, after Ashton's baptism, we went out to eat with the family at the Texas Road House. It was so good! I love that place!

Brady had to ride on the saddle as the waiters and waitresses announced to the entire resturaunt that Brady was turning 30. Yee Haaa!!!

Monday, Labor Day, was the last day for Great Grandma to have her pool open. So the family got together and had one last swimming party for the summer. The boys and I had fun. Brady....on the other hand, got really sick and passed out on the couch. I actually should be taking care of him right now. I think I'll add some fun shots of everyone in the pool first. Enjoy....

Here's a fun one of uncle Brad kickin' some major butt at volleyball.

And Lochlin just chillin' on his little raft.

It was a great day at the pool. Until next year.....adios!

Seeing Ashton's cute picture with the primary song in the background, made me tear up too, Nicole. I'm so glad that he had a very special baptism, I'm so happy for your family!
