Relay for Life

I was on the committee for the Relay for Life this year. I have a good friend who lost her 4 year old to cancer, and I told her I would help her out. We had a lot of fun helping raise money for a cure. My family sold pizza at night and breakfast burritos in the early morning hours (Relay for Life is an all night event). We raised about $250. It's not much, but even the smallest amount helps. There were so many fun things to do there. They had bounce houses and slides, bands, dance groups, karaoke, and 'Relay's Got Talent' talent show. I was in charge of the survivors dinner, which went really well. It was fun to talk to all the cancer survivors and hear their stories. I met this sweet little 8 month old girl, Ellie, who has brain cancer. She's too little for treatments now, so she has to wait till she's 1. She was so beautiful, though. I wish I had a picture of her. Anyway...here are some pictures from the event:

This was my friend, Christa's booth.

Here's Brady selling pizza.

Nicole!!! I'm so impressed with you! This is such a great cause! I have the hardest time hearing these kind of stories now that I'm a mom, I don't think I have the strength to do something like this, it just makes me cry. Thanks for being such a great example!
