I'm Still Here!!!

I've just been so busy! I remember last year, I was so good about keeping my blog updated for my family, but I guess I've been slacking a bit. Before I post any pictures, let me just tell you what we've all been up to.
I work at a gym 2 days a week. It's my way of getting a free membership...which, I happen to be using. I workout each night after the boys are all in bed. When it warms up a bit, I plan on running outside. At church, I have two callings. I am on the enrichment commitee, which is really really fun! Our ward has divided the commitee into smaller sub-commitees and I'm helping in the Health and Fitness one. We have a meeting every Tuesday night, and we get about 10-15 ladies there each time. We talk about exercise and eating healthy. It's a great way to help each other out as we all try to reach our own fitness goals. I love it! I am also a cub scout leader. This is also another fun calling. We have five awesome 8 year olds! They are so fun to hang out with. We meet every Wednesday for about an hour and teach a little lesson from the manual. It's been a great learning experience for me as well. I now know how to raise and lower a flag, why there are two years on the Utah Flag, and how to tie a tie. I can't wait till I have Ashton in there with me. He turns 8 in July. Also, on the side, I am taking an online photography course, and I've registered for school in the fall. I have about 2 more semesters left. Busy, busy!
Brady is still cramming away at work. It's harder to sell with the economy the way it is, but he still manages to be their top sales guy. Now that the weather is warming up, he's been working out in the yard a bit, getting it ready for all the flowers (and veggies) we plant each year. I'm so excited to try some new stuff this year. I want strawberries and spinach for sure. Oh, and more herbs. They were so good last year.
Ashton is busy with school. I don't remember being half as busy as he is when I was in second grade. He has tons of homework! He's getting better though. It use to take him an hour or more, but he can usually get it done in about 30 minutes. He also loves to read, which is hard for me to believe! I hated reading when I was young. I checked on him last night and he was reading his scriptures! I couldn't believe it! And this was not a kids version like what I read. It was the Kings James Version! I told him he is a great example to me. I have a hard time focusing when I read my scriptures. He is also in piano and doing very well. He has a couple songs that he's playing with both hands. I know he likes it, but he hates practicing. He learns stuff pretty fast and usually has a song memorized after playing it a couple times. So, after that it's not challenging anymore, and he gets bored. It's not as fun to work on form and rhythm! He is suppose to start soccer this month, too, but I'm not sure when.
Tyler has a lot of fun at school. I'm worried he doesn't take it seriously enough. He loves having friends, and goes crazy if a friend can't come over and play. It's all about fun and games with him. He's only in school half a day, so I get to hang out with him in the mornings. We do a lot of reading, cooking, and arts and crafts. His favorite book right now is 'Hop on Pop'. He loves playing computer games too. Tyler will also be starting soccer this month, and is not currently playing any instruments. I don't think he's quite ready.
Lochlin is HUGE! I'm serious! He just barely turned 2 and he's as big as a 3 year old. He's wearing size 3T and a size 8 in shoes. Tyler was wearing an 8 LAST year! It's fun to watch him with his brothers. He's a tough kid and can do almost everything they can. He also loves to read. It's his favorite time of day. We get Tyler off to school and sit down and read for 30-45 minutes. He loves it! He cried today when I told him we were done, and he kept handing me more books. He also loves being outside. It's nice that our yard is so big and fenced in. He can be out there for hours at a time, just in his own little world. I did see him climbing over the back fence though. I'll have to watch him a little more carefully...
So, that's the scoop on us. I'm sorry for those of you (family) who I haven't kept in touch with very well. Believe me...I want to! I just can't find the time.
Well, here are some current pictures. Enjoy!

Ok, Lochlin looks so old! I haven't seen you guys in ages, and boy that kid has really grown up. You sound super busy, but I'm glad that you're all doing well. I wish I lived there so I could come run with you. It's my new thing now, and I'm not very fast at all, but at least I do it, right?

Yay! A new post! I especially loved the part about Ashton reading his scriptures-what a good boy! it has been so fun to get to know him better in Primary! So exciting about the online photography class-which one are you doing? Loch is looking so big-our babies are growing up too fast!
