January-March Updates

Still undefeated!!! It was another great year at the Pinewood Derby. There's actually a funny story behind it. Ashton's original car was AWESOME! It was a rocket. Like, literally a rocket! They took an old rocket model and mounted it on part of the wood from the pinewood kit the scouts were suppose to use. It was all ready, and beautiful....and so light it rolled right off the counter the night before the Derby! It was sad. Brady kept his cool and tried not to get mad. He dug through pieces of wood they had cut from last year, painted it white, Ashton gave it stripes, threw on some wheels, and won every single race that night. It was crazy! But a lot of fun, of course!

Tyler's 8th Birthday!
We decided to have a surprise party for Tyler this year. Won't ever do that again! He didn't like it. He said he likes to know what's going on! WHATEVER!!! But the boys all had a blast (even Tyler). We opened presents and had cupcakes at our house, and then loaded all the kids up in two cars and took them to The Wild Child and they ran, jumped, and went wild for the rest of the time. I'm pretty sure that deep down, Tyler really enjoyed it. I still will never do another surprise party for him!

Here are some pictures of Tyler opening presents from his Grandma Amodeo. He loved everything...especially the electrical snaps kit.

This other strange-looking creature is Tyler's best friend, Kody. They have a lot of fun together, in case you couldn't tell!

Tyler also really liked the magic cards from Grandpa Amodeo. He's still got a lot of practicing to do though....

The last few months have been Junior Jazz season. Ashton played this year, and had a lot of fun. Here are some action shots of him. LOL! He's so goofy! His coach said he was a great defense player.

Here's a beautiful picture of our backyard covered in snow....

It snowed a lot in February.

On to March! Those of you who have a Facebook account have seen these next pictures. Like every year, Brady burns all the dead plants, veggies, leaves, and grass in our backyard. We didn't really know it was a problem, but this year a bunch of our neighbors called the fire department. BUSTED!!! It was really lame, actually. The fire department apologized and told us to let them know if we plan on doing it again so they don't rush to us when someone else could really be in trouble. It was fun to have the firetrucks in front of our house though...

Well, that's all I have at this point. I'm in the process of editing some videos to post, and I hope to have those up by the end of the week. Thanks for reading....
