Ouch!

Leave it to Tyler to pee on a bumble bee! Ok, so yesterday we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa's house to see if they were home after a great day of swimming at Great-Grandma's pool. They weren't home, so I sent the boys outside to eat Oreos while I changed Lochlin's diaper and Brady read a Motor Trend magazine. I go in the kitchen to wash my hands and I hear Tyler screaming outside and Ashton banging on the back door. "Tyler got stung! Tyler got stung!" I run over to him, wondering why his pants were down. I thought he had got stung on his bottom. So, he's shaking and screaming hysterically, and holding himself. I drag him inside, and by then I realized he hadn't been stung on his backside, but on his frontside! Poor kid! This bee had really good aim - right on the tip! I guess Tyler didn't want to come inside to go to the bathroom, so he just pulled his britches down outside. He won't be doing that again!!! Well, the stinger was still there, so Brady ran upstairs to find a pair of tweesers, while Tyler's in my arms screaming his head off. Finally, Brady gets back with the tweesers and Tyler freaks out. "No!!! Nooooo!!!! Don't touch it!!!" It took us a while, but we finally convinced him that it won't hurt anymore once the stinger was out. He eventually let Brady get it out. At least he killed the bee! He cried ALLLLL the way home (like an hour). And, he was in so much pain that he cried in his sleep. We had given him pain killers and everything. I felt so bad for him. But he woke up bright and early this morning, came in our room and exclaimed "Mommy, my pee-pee doesn't hurt anymore!" But then, I guess it was pretty itchy, cuz he wouldn't stop scratching; all through sacrament and primary. I wonder what people were thinking! Anyway...this was definatley an experience I never imagined experiencing in my life! Oh...isn't motherhood just dandy?! =6

OK, this made me laugh really hard...not because Tyler got stung, because that is just really sad that he had to get stung in that certain place. But, I laughed because I kept thinking about all the crazy things we experience as mothers. Anyway, I'm glad Tyler is okay and hopefully he won't be peeing on any more bees!

Oh Nicole. And I thought our little stitches incident was traumatic. I think if I HAD to pick one or the other, I might chose the cut and stitches at the Instacare over a bee sting on his you-know-what! Poor kid! I bet he won't forget that lesson any time soon! That's a classic blog entry. Thanks for not posting pictures! :)

Haha! I thought that I had heard it all! I am glad that he is feeling better. Thanks for the story-next time one of my boys tries that I can tell them that I once heard of a little boy who... :) Thanks for making me smile!

Dang. I hope he forgets about this soon. Injuries to that part of the male body can be brutal.
